Keynote Talk @ World Heart Congress 2020
Keynote talk at 27th Edition of World Heart Congress 2020 | Rome, Italy during June 15-16, 2020 by Dr. Marco Piciche , (San Bortolo Hospital Italy) on the Title " Acute aortic dissection: Etiopathogenesis, presentation, diagnosis, management, and outcome of surgical treatment " A brief about of Cardiac Surgery: For the heart to work well, blood must flow in only one direction. The heart’s valves make this possible. Healthy valves open and close in a precise way as the heart pumps blood. Each valve has a set of flaps called leaflets. Heart surgery is used to fix leaflets that don’t open as wide as they should. This can happen if they become thick or stiff or fuse together. As a result, not enough blood flows through the valve. Hybrid cardiac surgery combines cardiac surgery with an interventional (catheter-based) approach. Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is the most common type of heart surgery.
Heart strokes can drastically change the mind and body.
Heart stroke occur when a clot or burst artery prevents the flow of blood to the brain. This stoppage of blood flow results in results damage or death of brain cells Different parts of the brain and brain cells control many different functions of the body therefor a stroke can affect almost any part of the body. A person can take steps to prevent/lower the risk of Heart stroke however it is difficult to predict a stroke. Important factor is how long it took to get a proper treatment, further damage/death of brain cells may occur rapidly if the treatment is delayed.
